Abstract
Nowadays the importance of non-formal and informal learning has grown, these can complement, replace or raise to a higher level the learning and knowledge gained in the school system and can positively influence the widening of competences. Our research was done in the tourism sector. The statement that learning generates further learning can be well seen in our research. Those people who had a higher school qualification also widened their knowledge independently and not only wanted to enrich and maintain their professional knowledge but also to broaden their general knowledge, that is, they were open for continuous self-training, learning.
